Concerning the proposed biomass to biodiesel production facility development adjacent to the Sandhill dump:
It appears that the developer, Orion Eco Solutions Inc, has withdrawn its application with the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MOECC).
No approval was issued, and the ministry closed the file on April 23. The "decision" was made public on the EBR May 3, and no appeals have been filed. There is no reason given on the Ministry's website as to why the developer decided to withdraw their application. Details will be published here as they become available.
